Ronaldo's remarkable performance not only added another achievement to his already impressive record, but also widened the gap between him and his arch-rival Lionel Messi in terms of hat-trick goals scored.
Ronaldo's tally of career hat-tricks has reached an impressive 64, while Messi, currently representing American club Inter Miami, has achieved this feat on 57 occasions. The Argentine superstar has been showcasing his exceptional skills for his new team and has the opportunity to score seven more hat-tricks in order to equal Ronaldo's record.
However, it won't be an effortless journey for 'La Pulga' as he hasn't secured a hat-trick since March 28, 2023, during Argentina's dominant 7-0 victory over Curacao in an international friendly.
The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner has gone over a year without scoring three goals in a single game. On the other hand, Ronaldo has netted more hat-tricks post-30 than before hitting that milestone. The Al Nassr standout has had an exceptional season, tallying 39 goals and 11 assists in 40 matches.
He currently leads the Saudi Pro League in goals with 26, surpassing Al Hilal's Aleksander Mitrovic by four goals. Mitrovic will be sidelined for six weeks due to a hamstring injury sustained in the Roshn Saudi League.
